Technology Strategy Board Grants for Research and Development (now know as SMART) Although we managed to get funding for several Clients, the TSB’s application process has proved so cumbersome, and their budget so inadequate that the TSB have promised to review their systems and make improvements. We did not therefore put any grant applications in on the last call. We did however, request that the TSB supply information on the success rate of applications under the old scheme, and information on the increase in next year's funding. Together, these should allow us to estimate the success rate to be expected under the new scheme (Click here for details of our request¬). When the above information is available, we will review the situation and advise Clients accordingly.
